When we launched the cream in 2013, the goal was simple: to create a cream that could truly help sensitive and eczema-prone skin. A cream without unnecessary ingredients, but with everything the skin needs to feel soft, calm and protected.

The formula is created by founder Torhild. She developed the cream based on her own daughters, both of whom had atopic eczema. One of them is Amanda, who is also a co-founder of the company.

Over the years, Favn The Silk Cream has become a firm favourite with both children and adults with sensitive skin. We keep hearing stories from customers who never thought they would find a cream that their skin actually tolerates and that relieves their symptoms. Skin health is important to us, which is why we collaborate with the Norwegian Psoriasis and Eczema Association.

Now even more gentle for sensitive skin

In the new formulation, we have removed phenoxyethanol. This means that Favn The Silk Cream is now completely free of conventional preservatives, just like the rest of our products. This was a step that took a long time, because the cream is used by people with hypersensitive skin, we did not dare to change the formulation until we had done tests on enough people with eczema. We have been doing this testing for four years now, and we are almost certain that the cream will not trigger eczema-prone and atopic skin.

This has been an important goal for us for a long time. We want to create products that are as gentle as possible, especially for skin that is already sensitive, reactive or challenged.
